• BILINGUAL: ENGLISH AND FRENCH SPEAKING LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY***

Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, established standards, and recognized nursing practice.

• Assist registered staff in nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
• Complete all documentation on time, ensuring it is current and accurate, in accordance with corporate policies.
• Ensure a holistic, quality approach to resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
• Assist with resident meal service and restorative nursing.
• Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
• Perform care in accordance with legislation, best practices, corporate policies, and procedures.
• Participate in risk management and quality improvement programs related to resident care.
• Document all care accurately and promptly, complying with legislation and internal requirements.
• Mentor new staff/students and promote educational opportunities.
• Participate in departmental, interdisciplinary, and safety meetings.
• Foster teamwork among shifts, staff, and adhere to collective agreements.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including proper body mechanics, equipment use, lockout procedures, and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in verbal and written English; second language skills are an asset.
• Must meet one of the following:
• Complete a Ministry-approved PSW Training Program (min. 640 hours) from an accredited institution, or
• Be a student in RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy programs with Year 1 completed.
• Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
• Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
• Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid certification.
• Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
• VSS clearance within the past year confirming no criminal record.
