Qualifications

Overview

Salary: $63,835 - $72,987

Advocates is seeking a collaborative, team-oriented Spanish-speaking Master's-Level Clinician to join our diverse Trauma Informed Team. The Bilingual Urgent Care Outpatient Clinician will provide urgent behavioral health access for children, adolescents, and adults seeking outpatient counseling. Minimum Education Required

Master's Degree

Responsibilities
  • Promote a balanced, healthy, safe, and open environment for clients.
  • Provide outpatient trauma-informed services that embody the Advocates Way.
  • Follow Advocates diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
  • Complete diagnostic evaluations for people seeking services and identify behavioral health risks as clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain urgent access time standards as outlined by external stakeholders.
  • Provide individual and family treatment to people across the lifespan.
  • Coordinate collaboration and contact with clients’ families and other external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs within the program as well as with external agencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries, and progress notes.
  • Maintain an up-to-date availability calendar in the electronic health record system to ensure urgent access.
  • Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Utilize a private space and ensure the environment is safe, professional, and always offers confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to have challenging conversations in a confident and kind manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate boundaries while working virtually and in the office.
Qualifications
  • MSW degree or MA in a related field from an accredited college/university, and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting.
  • Degree must be eligible for LMHC or LICSW.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation abilities.
  • Intuitive, client-centered, supportive approach.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
