In this role, you will be required to reside in the assigned territory or within a reasonable distance. The territory for this role is: Quebec Montérégie, Ottawa/Gatineau and Atlantic Provinces

Job Summary:

This role demonstrates an expert level of customer relationship management, business development, practice development, CooperVision product and sales understanding, strategic planning and coordination between their accounts and CooperVision. This position requires "expert" level communication skills in English and French to partner and coach customers and sales team members. This role is brought into the customer relationship by the designated CVI account sales representative for the specific purpose of building a myopia management system, which encompasses all aspects of CooperVision's myopia management products, that optimizes targeted patient engagement, patient education, consultation and follow up, to ensure successful treatment over the years of use, and growth of accounts myopia management practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in close partnership with the core CVI sales reps on assigned accounts to ensure a seamless and connected experience for the customer that is best in class
  • Is the primary and lead contact for assigned customers in their implementation of the myopia management system and specialty lens.
  • Demonstrates exceptional selling skills; business acumen, presentation and communication skills, to influence customers in developing myopia management business
  • Clear, consistent utilization and flawless execution of each component of the CVI myopia management treatment program
  • Complete understanding of myopia management landscape, including competitors and demonstrates at expert level positioning our treatment program against the competition
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to best serve the customer and CooperVision interests
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Fully understands each customer's practice and completes in-depth business and practice review with customers to best assess how to implement a myopia treatment program and or specialty lens.
    • Develops and leads myopia and specialty lens business opportunities and implements plans and solutions to gain share and is responsible for developing specific plans of action for each assigned account
    • Develops and manages myopia and specialty lens marketing programs with customers resulting in documented success and positive return on investment
    • Utilizes the full portfolio of CooperVision Value Add Services to support growth of myopia management products to gain and retain the business
  • Is well versed and familiar with CooperVision customer agreements and policies regarding the myopia treatment process and requirements
  • Interprets clinical studies and market data to add credibility, overcome objectives and influence the sales process in a compelling manner
  • Builds, maintains, and leads strong relationships with other members of the sales team, sales leadership, corporate accounts team, sales support and commercial management teams to gain their support in executing customer objectives

Travel Requirements:
  • 20-30% overnight domestic travel required
  • Approximately 2-4 times a year international travel for meetings, trainings, conferences, etc as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Use of all Microsoft office suite of tools as well as CVI CRM solution at intermediate to advanced level
  • Influences sales process at expert level
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic, engaged and supportive of all CVI initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively identify, evaluate and assimilate information to render quality decisions
  • Ability to make high-level presentations to various sized customer groups
  • Strong ability to partner and coach internal sales team members and customers
  • Knowledge of contact lens industry
  • Knowledge and experience in optometry practice setting preferred
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken) is Required

Work Environment:
  • Remote employee, home office environment.

Experience:
  • 7-10 years optical industry experience required
  • Experience in customer facing sales
  • Prior leadership experience an asset
  • Demonstrated skills in customer business development and plan implementation

Education:
  • Licensed Optician Required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Consideration given to candidates with strong sales experience and track record of results
