Work from home

Availability to work between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Understands customer needs and provides wealth and investment-related sales and service to BMO customers or prospects. Advises customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that meet customer's objectives. Fulfills sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved procedures. Identifies and makes referrals to other business groups as needed.

  • Primarily makes outbound calls to customers to proactively look for opportunities to enhance customer experience by providing products that meet investment needs. There is potential to take inbound calls if market conditions warrant.
  • Stays updated on consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and regulatory environment related to provided products and services.
  • Provides professional quality sales and service for customer and prospect inquiries, issues, and requests.
  • Probes to understand customer needs and advises them on their unique investment needs.
  • Achieves sales targets focused on relevant investment products.
  • Manages all transactional outcomes of customer contacts or refers to appropriate internal groups.
  • Escalates complex or unresolved customer situations to senior managers as needed.
  • Performs necessary documentation after customer interactions to ensure accurate processing of requests.
  • Mantains current knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends, integrating this into customer conversations professionally.
  • Incorporates marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations where appropriate.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer and bank information.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  • Adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML, Terrorist Financing reporting, FCAC consumer provisions, and Privacy Act.
  • Completes diverse tasks within given rules/limits, including handling escalations from other employees.
  • Analyzes issues and determines next steps.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree in related field desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of marketplace trends and product offerings.
  • Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
  • Completed Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course / IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative.
  • Understanding of Risk Management & Compliance.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Salary: $37,500.00 - $69,500.00

    Pay Type: Salaried

    The salary range reflects BMO's compensation for this grade, role-based, and may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. It may include commissions. Compensation is regularly evaluated and adjusted based on market data.

    Salaries for part-time roles are pro-rated. For roles with commissions, the listed salary is the target for the first year.
