Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and provide wealth and investment-related sales and service to BMO customers or prospects.
- Advise customers on wealth and investment strategies and products aligned with their objectives.
- Fulfill sales and service activities following approved procedures.
- Identify opportunities for referrals to other business groups.
- Make outbound calls to customers and proactively enhance customer experience by recommending suitable products.
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory environment related to products and services.
- Provide professional sales and service for customer inquiries, issues, and requests.
- Probe to understand customer needs and advise accordingly.
- Achieve sales targets focusing on relevant investment products.
- Manage transactional outcomes or refer to appropriate teams.
- Escalate complex issues to senior managers when necessary.
- Complete documentation after customer interactions to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain current knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends.
- Incorporate marketing promotions into customer conversations as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
- Report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
- Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML, FCAC, and Privacy Act.
- Handle complex tasks and escalations within set rules/limits.
- Analyze issues and determine next steps.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree desirable or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of market trends and product offerings.
- Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
- Willingness to complete Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing (DFOL).
- Understanding of Risk Management & Compliance.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
- Good organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in French and English.
Compensation
Salary range: $37,500.00 - $69,500.00; pay type: Salaried; additional incentives and benefits apply.
