Responsibilities

1. Understand customer needs and provide wealth and investment-related sales and service to BMO customers or prospects.
2. Advise customers on wealth and investment strategies and products aligned with their objectives.
3. Fulfill sales and service activities following approved procedures.
4. Identify opportunities for referrals to other business groups.
5. Make outbound calls to customers and proactively enhance customer experience by recommending suitable products.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory environment related to products and services.
7. Provide professional sales and service for customer inquiries, issues, and requests.
8. Probe to understand customer needs and advise accordingly.
9. Achieve sales targets focusing on relevant investment products.
10. Manage transactional outcomes or refer to appropriate teams.
11. Escalate complex issues to senior managers when necessary.
12. Complete documentation after customer interactions to ensure accuracy.
13. Maintain current knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends.
14. Incorporate marketing promotions into customer conversations as appropriate.
15. Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
16. Report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
17. Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML, FCAC, and Privacy Act.
18. Handle complex tasks and escalations within set rules/limits.
19. Analyze issues and determine next steps.
20. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree desirable or equivalent experience.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Knowledge of market trends and product offerings.
4. Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
5. Willingness to complete Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing (DFOL).
6. Understanding of Risk Management & Compliance.
7. Good verbal & written communication skills.
8. Good organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
9. Fluent in French and English.

Compensation

Salary range: $37,500.00 - $69,500.00; pay type: Salaried; additional incentives and benefits apply.
