Bilingual Inside Sales Representative (English and French)

We are pleased to share details about the Bilingual Inside Sales Representative position with one of our clients, a privately held company that specializes in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality valves, fittings, strainers, gauges, and piping solutions.

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Inside Sales Manager. This role requires a professional, collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, drive, attention to detail, and technical proficiency. The primary responsibilities include managing customer requests and selling products and services via phone and internet channels (chat, email, video conferencing). Building strong customer relationships to maximize satisfaction and retention is also key.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate all client and customer requests, providing technical answers and responses.
  2. Process customer quotes, orders, calculate project prices, handle returns, and resolve complaints or issues.
  3. Respond to all incoming and outgoing customer calls and emails professionally and promptly.
  4. Offer technical advice and solutions based on product offerings.
  5. Build and maintain client loyalty through prompt and friendly service.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to address client issues, resolve problems, and report resolutions.
  7. Follow standards and suggest improvements to policies and procedures to enhance quality.
  8. Maintain and update detailed client and customer data.
  9. Assist management with administrative projects and tasks, including marketing mailings, customer surveys, trade show assistance, and follow-ups.
  10. Contribute ideas for improving customer service and sales support procedures.
  11. Perform other duties as required.
Required Experience
  1. 2-3 years of experience as a technical inside sales representative or similar client-facing role with technical products in the process/manufacturing field.
  2. Experience in ongoing maintenance and servicing of customer accounts.
  3. Technical understanding of products such as wear-resistant items, instrumentation, valves, strainers, pumps, and fittings.
  4. Experience in inside sales of manufacturing products to various industries (assets).
  5. Knowledge of brands like NIBCO, Webstone, LESSO, NCI, FLOW+, WGI, SSI (assets).
Education
  1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Development, Instrumentation, Fire Protection and Safety, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
Skills and Competencies
  1. Knowledge of the process/manufacturing field.
  2. Customer service experience in a similar role is an asset.
  3. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and in teams.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Accpac is a plus.
  7. Bilingual in English and French.
