This full-time position requires standing for long periods and working in a busy environment.

Qualifications

  • Standing during entire shift is required.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.

Job description

Reporting to the Front Desk Manager and Guest Services Managers, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

  1. Provide outstanding service to our internal and external guests.
  2. Assist with tour check-ins and greet the tour guide and groups when required.
  3. Generate reports for other departments in the hotel.
  4. Be a key member of the crisis & emergency team.
  5. Register and check out hotel guests.
  6. Act as an ambassador of Fairmont Château Laurier.
  7. Greet check-ins and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed.
  8. Assist leadership in performing daily duties.
  9. Follow all safety policies.
  10. Overnight shifts are a possibility but not a daily requirement of the position.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both official languages.
  • Previous Front Desk Agent experience in a similar environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to handle cash effectively and accurately.
  • Computer literate with exposure to Opera Cloud, Outlook, Word, and Excel (strong asset).
  • Active listener and self-starter.
  • Able to make decisions and take initiative.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Positive and pleasant attitude.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a very busy environment.
