Job Description

Life & Critical Illness Claims/Telework/Permanent/Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver/Desired start date: As soon as possible


Do you want to play an essential role in the success of our company? The Group Life & Critical Illness Claims sector is hiring a new team member to support the claims analysis process, and to ultimately play a role in the protection of families.


As a Bilingual Group Life Claims Analyst, you will process life, critical illness, conversion, and waiver of premiums claims, and additionally, you will be:

  • Approving or denying claims and determining the amount of benefits, in keeping with contract provisions and relying on medical reports, death certificates, related policies and procedures

  • Ensuring the accuracy of data, beneficiary information and benefit disbursements

  • Providing bilingual customer service for assigned caseload and responding to general inquiries and clients with great accuracy is required

  • Using computer database systems to generate payments, reports and correspondence


Your career path looks like this:

  • College diploma and/or Degree with three to five years of related experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (Bilingual level required)

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities

  • Knowledge of applicable government legislation and regulations

  • LOMA, HIAA, ICA an asset
