Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Canada seeks a Financial Crimes Investigator to conduct investigations, assess exposure, document findings, and escalate as needed. You will monitor detection systems, gather evidence, and produce reports and dashboards to support risk management and continuous improvement.

Fluency in French and English is required to support clients and teams inside and outside Quebec. The role is salaried with a pay range of $40,500 to $80,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements as they apply to financial crimes is an asset.
• Knowledge of banking products, services, processes and organization is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to identify, assess, decide and report on activity indicating exposure to financial crimes.
• Monitor and analyze information from detection systems and reports to evaluate actions.
• Document actions and maintain account/case files throughout investigations.
• Provide input for process improvements and risk trend analysis.
• Support collection of evidence for incident reports, litigation, and management information.
• Escalate findings to internal/external stakeholders as necessary.
