Overview

Are you an experienced, bilingual call center professional who thrives on late-day action? We're looking for customer service pros with an investigative mindset to join an essential team in the banking sector. On the evening shift, every call is a potential emergency where your immediate judgment is crucial.

Role

As a Bilingual Fraud Detection Agent, you are the safeguard protecting our clients across Canada. You analyze the situation live, and it up to you to make emergency decisions (account blocking, investigation) to secure assets. It's a demanding role, but one with a direct and rewarding impact, perfect for those who prefer an unconventional work dynamic.

  • Salary: $24 per hour
  • Schedule: Evening, Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM or 12:30 PM–9:00 PM
  • Training: 2 weeks of training (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
  • Work: 100% remote after training, equipment provided
  • Contract: 3 months with possibility of extension
Requirements

This position requires excellent command of both English and French. You will communicate daily with English-speaking clients located outside of Quebec to ensure full coverage and effective support across Canada.

Logistics and Availability
  • Fixed Availability: Must be available for the specified evening shift (Monday to Friday)
  • Initial Training: Mandatory availability for the initial 2 weeks of training (start date: October 20)
  • Work Environment: Quiet, concentration-friendly workspace at home
  • Location: 100% Remote Work after initial training; all equipment provided
  • Contract: 3 months with a strong possibility of extension beyond January 2026
  • Training: Paid 2-week training (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Responsibilities
  • Proactive Call Management: Handle incoming calls from clients reporting various types of fraud (credit cards, electronic transfers, etc.)
  • Analysis and Investigation: Conduct in-depth analysis of transactions and activities to identify fraud patterns and potential risks
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Make rapid, informed decisions regarding risk mitigation measures (immediate account blocking, service suspension, preliminary investigation)
  • Empathetic Client Support: Act with empathy and professionalism to reassure, inform, and guide clients affected by fraud
  • Administrative Diligence: Ensure the integrity and up-to-date status of records in internal systems
