We are looking for an engaged individual to take on the role of Field Nurse Case Manager. This role is responsible for the management of specific cases assigned to them regarding patient reimbursement and coordination for the NavieGo branch of the organization. The Nurse Case Manager is responsible for the overall management of their patient cases and acts as a single point of contact for their assigned health care providers.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the entire coordination of the patient journey.
  • Occasional travel for on-site clinic visits.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for physicians to enroll patients into a NavieGo managed program.
  • Establishing and maintaining a strong, trusting relationship with assigned clinics and physicians including site visits.
  • Acting as the main resource for NavieGo to request missing or additional information from respective physician offices, pharmacies, and/or other health care providers.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects required to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients.
  • Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices and health care professionals to assist a patient in their treatment journey.
  • Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies and public funding programs.
  • Coordinate clinic appointments and drug deliveries within timelines.
  • Foster and build relationships with patients and key health care providers.
  • Implement best practices to maximize a patient’s access to drug coverage.
  • Coordinate with pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of public and private funding systems.
  • Able to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday, covering hours of 8 AM to 8 PM EST.
Qualifications
  • Bilingualism - English/French - is a requirement.
  • Registered Nurse designation and current provincial licensing is required.
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer/client service and health care reimbursement experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications (Google apps, Word, Excel).
  • Professional, courteous, and efficient telephone manner.
  • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday, supporting various regions of Canada.
