Job summary

TFS Canada's International School in Toronto is seeking a Permanent – 12 months contract Educator to join our bilingual French-English program at the Toronto Campus. This full-time role involves replacement teaching duties and oversight of the CCEYA portfolio plus coordination of the Summer Child Care Program.

Reporting to school leadership, the position emphasizes collaboration with teachers and families to support student learning in a safe, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with homeroom teachers, specialists, school leadership, and fellow ECEs to support student learning, development, inclusion, and well-being.
• Provide direct support to individual students and small groups under teachers' guidance.
• Facilitate educational activities, workshops, and learning experiences aligned with the school program and curriculum.
• Support designated teachers in the classroom, including lesson prep, implementation, and follow-up activities.
• Assist with preparation, organization, maintenance, and storage of instructional materials and equipment.
• Promote student welfare and social-emotional development with positive discipline and role modeling.
• Observe student progress and share information with teachers and the educational team.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with families regarding students' well-being and development.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment that fosters engagement, independence, and respect.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, field trips, and other activities as required.
• Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and school events to support delivery of educational programs.
• Provide classroom coverage and replace in classrooms as required to ensure continuity of learning.
