Job Description
What is the opportunity? The role is available in the following provinces: Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island. As a Bilingual Disability Claims Analyst, you will adjudicate and manage disability claims in a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary, and digital environment. You will ensure claims are recertified and paid according to policy and procedures, while delivering superior client service. You will also apply risk management strategies impacting the company's financial results, reputation, regulatory compliance, client relationships, and business retention.
What will you do?
- Adjudicate claims using a multidisciplinary model to ensure objective, fair, and thorough assessment, complying with policies and regulations.
- Provide high-level customer service and manage reputational risk.
- Handle a large caseload of disability claims, calculate benefit payments, and implement claims management and return-to-work strategies.
- Communicate approval or denial decisions professionally to clients.
- Handle sensitive information with care to prevent breaches of confidentiality.
- Build rapport and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and partners throughout the process.
What will you need to succeed?
- Post-secondary education in healthcare or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Bilingualism in English and French, with high-level writing skills in both languages.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, especially with emotionally distressed clients or those with mental health conditions.
- Ability to work independently, managing time and problems effectively.
- Ability to meet technological and confidentiality requirements (e.g., private workspace, reliable internet).

- Ability to manage change effectively.
- Experience in disability claims, particularly group disability claims.
