A privately held Canadian Company, we are a successful supply chain partner providing “Intelligent Delivery” of products and solutions to the Industrial, Environmental, and Plastics industries. We currently operate two manufacturing sites in Colborne and Elmira, Ontario, and have supporting warehouses and sales representatives across Canada and in the Northeastern United States.

Position: Bilingual Customer Service Representative (14-month contract)

Location: Colborne, ON.

Reports to : Customer Service Supervisor

The Bilingual Customer Service Representative has the following responsibilities:

• Provide excellent service to our customers by procuring orders and handling general inquiries for Manufactured and Distribution products

• Efficient processing of email, telephone orders and obtaining proper pricing and product availability for North American market

• Able to translate kgs and lbs. weight and prices CAD to USF efficiently and with accuracy

• Knowledge of documentation required for shipping to USA (TSCA, Customs papers)

• Act as a liaison between customers, product managers and sales team, follow-up on queries and issues

• Ability to meet customer requirements within reason and in the best interest of CCC

• Co-ordinate special arrangements with warehouse personnel across Canada

• Review pricing on all orders for GP maintenance, seeking approval and documenting if required, before confirming order and/or shipping

• Proactively review changes to customer forecasts/product usage and communicate in a timely manner to Vendor Support Teams and Product Managers, as required

• Process return requests, debits and credits

• Work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Representatives to create and maintain customer profiles

• Some administrative duties for back up purposes (UPS, re-directing calls, letter writing)

• Act as back-up to the Bilingual Customer Service Representative

• Some flexibility with hours and occasional holiday coverage (USA and Canadian holidays) required

Background Required:

• Minimum high school diploma. College diploma in business or administration would be considered a definite asset.

• 3-5 years’ experience in a customer service environment, or customer/supplier support environment

• A strong working knowledge of French and English required – written and spoken

• A strong team player with a high degree of initiative and positive attitude

• Flexibility with ability to work under pressure

• Proficiency in MS Office; working knowledge of order entry systems would be an asset

• Above average interpersonal skills and telephone skills to deal with demanding people

• Strong team player; Problem solver

• Ability to multitask at a very high level
