We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual CNC Programmer to work on leading-edge technology products.

Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Schedule: HYBRID (4 days in office initially; later it can be 3 days); Flexible evening schedule 14:00 to 22:00

Project Description
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing drawing data for the part to be produced. You will examine technical drawings or 3D models and translate this information into comprehensible data for the CNC machine using CAD and CAM software.

Responsibilities

1. Develop drawing data for the part to be produced.
2. Translate technical specifications into data for the CNC machine using CAD/CAM software.
3. Select suitable tools and set correct machining parameters.
4. Configure speed, feed, and depth-of-cut parameters for optimum results.
5. Generate instruction files compatible with the control computer (e.g., G-code).
6. Transfer the program to the CNC machine via a storage medium or network.
7. Test the program and check the operation of the CNC machine.
8. Monitor the machine during machining to detect any possible problems.

Basic Qualifications

1. Mastery of design software and understanding of machining processes.
2. Ability to solve technical problems related to programming and machining.
3. Bilingual in French and English.
4. Minimum experience of 3-5 years.
