Position Overview:

TheClinical Sales Specialist (CSS) will work in conjunction with the Territory Manager, Inside Sales team and Reimbursement team to meet the commercial and clinical needs in their territory for the purpose of increasing referrals and supporting customers on product.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the benefits of insulin pump therapy and sells Omnipod Insulin Management System to providers and patients in group and/or individual sessions or as a continuing education offering.

  • Works in conjunction with Territory Manager and Inside Sales to achieve sales goals.

  • Support and develop Key Account clinical expertise and records calls in Salesforce.

  • Dedicated to providing exceptional training and support to individuals initiating Omnipod System therapy.

  • Will deliver virtual training sessions through platforms such as Webex, Teams, and Zoom.

  • Enhance training outcomes by grouping participants into targeted training sessions based on their current insulin delivery method.

  • Is knowledgeable in, and utilizes clinical evidence to support customer discussions

  • Evaluates and recommends Certified Pod Trainers (CPTs) and Trainer CPTs who wish to become consultant CPTs for Insulet Corporation.

  • Assigns patient training to CPTs or conducts patient training based on business needs of territory, oversees costs of training and timeliness of training.

  • Assists with providing regular product demos to patients and HCPs.

  • Assists with sales events such as pump clinics, pump support groups, info sessions, in-office educational events, patient info nights, JDRF walks, vendor days, etc.

  • Oversees CPTs by seeing them face-to-face and by providing timely product updates and by acting as a clinical resource.

  • Support CPEs ( certified Pod Educator) and coordinate with clinics

  • Provides Field Feedback to Manager on field-based training of customers and HCPs.

  • Ability to perform administrative duties and turn in on a timely basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Credibility and contacts within the diabetes community.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’sdegree

  • 2 years’ experience training and/or managing pump patients.

  • Professional up to date clinical credentials and/or certifications are mandatory: i.e. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDEs),Registered Dietitian (RD), or Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French

  • Must reside within the assigned geographic territory. This position requires regular business travel, mostly by car within a set geographic region; New Brunswick or Newfoundland

  • Validdriver’s license required. Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned area. This position requires regular business travel mostly by car within a set geographic region.

Preferred:

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)

  • Prior industry/commercial experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Overnighttravel and amount of air travel varies by territory

  • Ability to lift, carry and transport up to 30 lbs., professional sales samples and literature.
