Bilingual Claims Service Representative

Role Summary

Provide immediate and customer-focused assistance to policyholders reporting insurance claims. Document initial loss details and activities to ensure timely and service-oriented call handling. Make determinations based on protocol if immediate adjuster attention is required and coordinate with vendors as needed.

In order to work remotely, you will require high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps download and upload).

Weekend shifts are mandatory and involve shift work on a seven-day rotating basis with 8-hour shifts between 7 am and 12 am.

Only candidates fully bilingual in French and English will be considered.

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week.

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the following Insurance Institute courses: Essentials of Loss Adjusting (C110), Automobile (C14), Property (C12), and Principles and Practices (C11).

  • Review claim information to determine next steps per client guidelines.

Education, knowledge, and experience required

  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 1 year administrative experience
  • Knowledge of the insurance/service industry or related experience preferred
  • Strong computer and telephone skills with aptitude to learn new systems
  • Effective communication skills in English and French, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
