Role Designation:

Hybrid - requires on-site presence 2-3 times a week at our Markham office

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, National Claims Operations, this role provides support and customer service within Claims Operations. The Claim Assistant supports Claim Advisors by handling tasks such as claim setup, report requests, payments, recoveries, and using multiple software systems. This position ensures departmental performance targets are met.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide superior customer service to Claim Advisors of all levels
  • Collaborate with team members and Claim Advisors
  • Provide on-the-job training as requested
  • Manage daily priorities proactively
  • Act as backup to other Claim Assistants
  • Perform general office duties

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in French and English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Customer service experience required
  • Strong computer skills and literacy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Enrollment in CIP designation is an asset
