Futurpreneur is a national non-profit organization that empowers young, diverse entrepreneurs, ages 18-39, to start, buy, or grow their businesses in Canada by providing loans, mentorship, and resources.

Founded in 1996, we have helped more than 18,700 young entrepreneurs, promoting entrepreneurship among Canadian youth as a key pillar for economic diversification, employment creation, and sustainable development.

Opportunity: Bilingual Business Development Coordinator

The bilingual Business Development Coordinator will support business development teams in promoting Futurpreneur's financing and mentoring programs for young entrepreneurs and community partners. Responsibilities include conducting market analysis, initiating contact with prospects, generating leads, proposing sales strategies, facilitating info sessions, maintaining relationships, and administrative duties. Our client base includes entrepreneurs aged 18-39, mentors, and ecosystem partners.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract position based in Montreal, QC, or at satellite offices in Halifax, NS, or Charlottetown, PEI. The role involves a hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation and Team Support: Serve as the first point of contact for entrepreneurs seeking support, utilize tools to generate leads, follow up on segments, support admin tasks, track activities in CRM, collaborate with teams, and communicate effectively.
  2. Event Coordination: Assist in researching events, support and coordinate logistics, manage promotions and follow-up activities, and sometimes assist in person at events.
  3. Administration and Customer Service: Provide logistical support, monitor KPIs, prepare reports, assist in project timelines, and support team members during absences.
Qualifications
  • Relevant education or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Economic Development, or entrepreneurship.
  • Strong research, computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, Canva, Eventbrite).
  • Bilingual in French & English (spoken & written).
  • Flexible, autonomous, team-oriented, with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset, results-oriented, proactive, confident, and aligned with our values.
