Job summary

RBC Insurance Advice Centre is seeking a Bilingual Associate, Life Service to assist clients by telephone with policy details and insurance questions. You will engage with life and health policy owners and brokers to provide accurate information and a high level of service.

In this role, you will handle inbound calls and email inquiries, explain policy terms, resolve issues, and ensure a consistent, professional client experience in both English and French.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls focused on updating, managing, and reporting policy information for life and health policies.

What is the opportunity?

You are a dynamic individual with a passion for helping people by joining our fast-paced Life Service team at the RBC Insurance Advice Centre. As a Bilingual Associate, Life Service you will interact with clients over the phone, providing them with insurance answers related to their policy details.

What will you do?

• Effectively answer inbound calls centered on updating, managing, and reporting of policy information to our clients - life and health policy owners and brokers
• Respond to email inquiries related to their policies by both owners and brokers
• Provide insurance assistance to clients based on their needs
• Accurately analyze and report all information in relation to the terms and conditions of the policy in a timely manner
• Exhibit a consistent, positive client experience with every conversation and resolve client concerns at the first point of contact, demonstrating the ability to connect through discussion and elevate as necessary
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the policies and effectively communicate them to clients and brokers
• Use procedures effectively and seamlessly during calls

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as our Centre is open Monday to Friday 8 am to 8 pm EST, to better help our clients
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem resolution skills
• Ability to navigate between multiple systems
• Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
• Ability to work independently in a structured environment, with proven time management, organizational skills
• Must be able to meet the technological and confidentiality requirements of the role (i.e., private and quiet space, Internet connectivity, etc.)
