Job summary

GardaWorld is hiring a Pre-Board Screening Officer at Timmins Airport (YTS) in Timmins, Ontario. You will screen the travelling public and their belongings to ensure safety and security, controlling access to restricted areas and responding to alarms as part of airport operations.

This position offers paid training, a uniform, comprehensive health benefits, and opportunities for advancement within GardaWorld. Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and able to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean criminal record and eligible for RAIC/security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Screen the travelling public and their belongings.
• Ensure non-permitted items do not enter the secure area.
• Control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms and report events, illegal acts or violations.
• Participate in emergency operations within the airport.
