Job summary

Sun Life Financial in Montreal is seeking a Payout Annuity Operations Associate to manage and monitor incoming work, review requests, and ensure accurate processing. This hybrid role collaborates with Payout partners to maintain service levels.

• Provide backup for key operational activities and cross-train to support flexibility.
• Follow established procedures, controls, and service expectations.
• Identify and report risks or situations requiring escalation.
• Collaborate with Payout partners to manage workload and maintain service levels.
• Monitor workflow and identify work that may be delayed or at risk.

Job Description

Location: Hybrid (Montreal)

What will you do?

• Manage and monitor incoming work for the Payout Annuity team
• Review and direct requests to the appropriate team member.
• Complete operational and administrative processing.
• Provide backup for key operational activities and participate in cross-training to support flexibility across the team.
• Follow established procedures, controls, quality standards, and service expectations.
• Identify and report risks, problems, or situations requiring escalation.
• Work collaboratively with Payout partners to help manage workload and maintain service levels.
• Monitor team workflow and help identify work that may be delayed, unassigned, or at risk of missing service commitments.
• Learn and support additional Payout Annuity processes, as required.

What do you need to succeed?

• Customer service experience with strong administrative and operational skills
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes, systems, and tasks
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Able to cover business hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Salary Range: 49,000/49 000 - 77,000/77 000

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
