Position Summary

Account Managers will produce positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market with an average of 40-45 current accounts and an average of $2M annually. Use Grainger's CRM system, Salesforce, to perform all aspects of business daily. You will report to the District Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access resources to respond to new developments in the customer's business.
  3. Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to increase understanding and sales results.
  4. Understand Grainger's Value Proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales.
  5. Develop account penetration strategies, including regular business reviews for essential customers.
Education and Experience
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience or equivalent inside sales/marketing experience.
  • Experience in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
  • Travel required to each customer within the market at least once per month.
  • Ability to utilize sales processes to uncover objections and determine solutions.
  • High School diploma or GED (Post-secondary education preferred).

This role may require attendance on customer sites and adherence to safety requirements, including PPE. Some sites may have alcohol and drug screening policies.
