Responsibilities
- Assess existing data components, perform POCs, and consult with stakeholders.
- Propose end-to-end solutions for enterprise data-related business problems, including data collection, extraction, integration, cleansing, enrichment, and visualization.
- Design large data platforms to enable Data Engineers, Analysts, and Scientists.
- Gain strong exposure to different data architectures, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Define tools and technologies to develop automated data pipelines, write ETL processes, develop dashboards and reports, and generate insights.
- Reassess current systems to align with architecture goals, best practices, and business needs.
- Model databases, decide on data storage solutions, create data flow diagrams, and maintain documentation.
- Ensure performance, reliability, reusability, resilience, scalability, security, privacy, and data governance in data architecture design.
- Apply or recommend best practices in architecture, coding, API integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Coordinate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders for data needs.
- Mentor junior team members, lead initiatives, and contribute to practice growth.
- Represent the organization on internal and external platforms as a thought leader.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience.
- Expertise as a Big Data Architect with recent hands-on experience in SQL, Python, ERD, GCP (especially BigQuery, GCS, Cloud Functions, Composer), and DBT.
- Experience working with Big Data (100TB+).
- Knowledge of modern data technologies.
- Proficiency in designing and optimizing database models.
- Extensive data modeling experience.
- Ability to analyze system requirements, implement data strategies, and ensure system efficiency and security.
- Deep understanding of database structures.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
