Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Bid and Tender Specialist to lead the preparation and submission of winning proposals in public, institutional, and commercial sectors.

You’ll identify opportunities (Merx, Biddingo, SAP, Canada Buys), collaborate with internal teams (Pro sales, finance, legal, procurement), and ensure competitive, compliant bids.

This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid Identification & Submission:
  • Research and identify relevant bid opportunities across multiple platforms.
  • Prepare, complete, and submit competitive bids and RFPs in a timely manner.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to gather pricing, product details, and proposal requirements.
  • Coordinate with sales, finance, legal, and procurement teams to ensure compliance with bid requirements.

Market & Vertical Focus:

  • Target key verticals, including municipal, city, provincial, education, and healthcare sectors to drive growth.
  • Align bid strategies with company objectives and growth initiatives.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Monitor bid outcomes, track key successes, and analyze reasons for wins/losses.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve future bid success rates.
  • Prepare summaries of successful bids and share best practices with the sales and store teams.
  • Establish a structured bid tracking and reporting system for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in bid and tender preparation, proposal writing, or procurement. (asset)
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate bid opportunities and assess competitive positioning.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with procurement platforms such as Merx, Biddingo, SAP, Canada Buys is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in french and english. (Mandatory)
