Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking a Data Engineer for the Enterprise BI Technology team to deliver enterprise-wide BI services and platforms. You will evaluate emerging BI technologies and cloud solutions, and help drive digital transformation and cloud migration initiatives for clients across the bank.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize BI infrastructure, databases, and analytics workflows, while ensuring security and high availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BI infrastructure experience and data engineering background.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL, Azure SQL, Python and SQL scripting.
• Experience with BI tools like SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, ThoughtSpot.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain enterprise BI infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate across teams to improve functionality, stability, and performance of BI platforms.
• Design and implement infrastructure, automate reports and dashboards, and optimize data flows.
• Deliver and troubleshoot BI reports, dashboards, and workflows for business partners.
