Job summary

TEEMA in Burnaby, BC seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to translate business needs into SQL-based specifications, profile data, and design scalable BI solutions. You will work on data warehouses, data lakes, and Power BI security within collaborative cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines and ETL processes, developing dashboards, and maintaining BI systems while leveraging Azure DevOps and Python/R to extend analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience designing on-premise data warehouse reusable frameworks.
• Data modelling, analysis, and visualization capabilities.
• ETL experience with relational and non-relational data sources.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Power BI plus Microsoft Power Platform expertise.
• Power BI Dataflows/Datamarts and reporting automation experience.
• Azure DevOps project management is preferred.
• Python or R programming experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data integration and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Profile data and perform source data analysis with SQL.
• Design and develop data analytics infrastructure (data warehouse, data lake, ODS).
• Build BI solutions and dashboards with Power BI Desktop.
• Ensure security and governance in Power BI workspaces.
• Design data models based on technical specs.
• Develop data pipelines and ETL packages (M Query, DAX, Power Query).
• Explore advanced Power BI features, Dataflows, and Datamarts.
• Troubleshoot data warehouse issues and maintain BI systems.
• Collaborate with Strategy and Improvement teams.
