Beyond Coffee is hiring Café Baristas for the coffee shop in Century Plaza Hotel

Beyond Coffee, located next to C|Prime Restaurant in the Century Plaza Hotel, is a relaxing and aesthetic café in Vancouver where guests indulge in specialty Illy coffees, daily lunch specials, fresh paninis & sandwiches, delectable desserts, or our house-made gelato. Whether you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, enjoy a quick and healthy bite, or kick back with a steaming cup of coffee, Beyond Coffee is your perfect one-stop Vancouver coffee shop.

We are currently seeking highly skilled, experienced, hard-working, and enthusiastic Café Baristas to join our team and start immediately.

Reporting to the Café Manager, the Café Baristas will assist with various aspects of the day-to-day operations of Beyond Coffee.

Ideal candidates will have:

1. At least 1 year experience preparing and serving coffee and food in a high-end hospitality environment;
2. Ability to perform daily cafe opening or closing;
3. Solid understanding of espresso and drip coffee methods;
4. Ability to prepare and serve ready-to-eat sandwiches and wraps upon request;
5. Responsibility for using the point of sale (POS) system, input orders, and receive payments;
6. Ability to clean, restock inventory, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils;
7. Professional appearance and excellent communication skills;
8. Ability to thrive when faced with new challenges and keep calm under pressure;
9. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multitask;
10. Ability to be well-groomed and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English;
11. Open availability: some shifts starting as early as 6:30AM and others ending as late as 7:30PM, seven days a week. Also willing to work some shifts at short notice if necessary;
12. Punctuality and reliability as a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Must have Food Safe Level 1 certification, and Serving It Right.
