Job status : Temporary 13 Month Part-time 0.8 FTE (60 hours bi-weekly)

Compensation : $57,566-$62,273

YOUR ROLE

JOB SUMMARY

The Bereavement Clinical Coordinator reports to the Director of Family Support Services and guides by the Clinical Practice Lead, Bereavement. This role supports families accessing bereavement services, coordinating grief support, and involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities. Tasks include needs assessments, psychoeducation, liaising with community providers, and developing bereavement programs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Administration - 35%

  • Triaging and documenting referrals
  • Sending bereavement packages and maintaining documentation
  • Managing mailing lists and supplies
  • Handling group registrations and emails

Direct Clinical Care – 25%

  • Engaging with bereaved families directly
  • Conducting intake assessments
  • Providing information, resources, and guidance

Program Coordination - 35%

  • Drafting program processes
  • Organizing assessment documentation
  • Coordinating bereavement services and liaising with internal and external partners
  • Collaborating with experts to develop resources

Other related responsibilities, as assigned – 5%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College or university degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work (BSW), Child Life Specialist (CCLS), or equivalent, with experience in grief and bereavement support. BC registration required. Minimum 2 years of direct client care experience.
  • Experience in Hospice Palliative or End of Life Care preferred.
  • Experience working with children and families dealing with grief, trauma, and loss.
  • Experience in not-for-profit or healthcare settings is an asset.
  • Experience working with volunteers and multidisciplinary teams.
