Job summary

Job description

Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have partnered with a Winnipeg based company to hire a Claims Assistant for an immediate temporary opportunity.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Immediate temporary opportunity as a Claims Assistant.
  • Potential to extend and / or become temporary to hire.
  • Convenient location near downtown with free parking.
  • Monday to Friday onsite 830 am to 430 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide members and clients with professional and courteous service.
  • Adjudicate and process health & dental claims for assigned plans.
  • Understand and apply the terms of benefit plans.
  • Process member termination/eligibility on the dental plan.
  • Process incoming/outgoing / returned mail, faxes and courier deliveries.
  • Enter registration forms and member information into the Dental Plan.
  • Screen sick day forms and prepare/mail out sick day cheques.
  • Prepare supply order.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two plus years of Claims Administration experience.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
