Wabtec Canada is seeking a Production Assembler for a 1-year fixed-term position in Ontario. The role involves assembling and testing complex bench test equipment, electrical panels, cables, and harnesses from engineering drawings and BOMs.
You will work with a cross-functional team on a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing line, following IPC Class 3 requirements and maintaining safety and quality in a collaborative environment.

As a member of the Production Team at Bach-Simpson, you will report to the Operations Manager. The Bench Test Equipment (BTE) Assembler is responsible for the assembly and testing of custom electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and cable/harness assemblies used in Bench Test Equipment (BTE) systems and other product lines as required. This role supports a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment where many products are engineered-to-order and built directly from drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
The successful candidate will possess strong assembly skills, excellent workmanship, and extensive experience with manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly tooling. The BTE Assembler will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Test personnel to ensure assemblies meet customer requirements and IPC Class 3 workmanship standards.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
The salary range for this role is between $23/hr. - $25/hr. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
