As a Behavioral Counsellor, you’ll provide direct support to individuals in a residential setting, helping them develop essential life skills and overcome challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Skills: Communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, organization, and adaptability.
Work Setting: Residential care environment, supporting individuals of all ages.
Minimum Requirement: At least one year of study in a relevant field (e.g., Developmental Services, Community Services, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Criminology).
Experience: One year preferred.

Position Availability:
As a Behavioral Counsellor, we offer both full-time positions (30–40 hours per week) and part-time positions (15–20+ hours per week). Since residential care is an essential service operating year-round, employees must be available for daytime, evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule: Flexible shifts available (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays).

Resident and employee safety remains our top priority. BCRS works closely with Ottawa Public Health to ensure the proper intervention, protection, and control measures are in place.
