Job Description
Working as part of a collaborative care team and under the direction of the Program Manager, the Behaviour Technologist will conduct behavioural assessments and provide time-limited treatment for individuals with diagnosed conditions, following an approved treatment order. Responsibilities include data collection, functional behavioural assessments, development and implementation of behaviour protocols/plans, and data monitoring. The Behaviour Technologist will also train staff and family members as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in Behavioural Science Technology or Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Behavioural Psychology
- Minimum of three years experience in developing and implementing behavioural programs (preferred)
- Experience working with adults with complex physical and mental health diagnoses (preferred)
- Experience in group facilitation and staff training (preferred)
- Knowledge of community agencies is an asset
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments and develop treatment strategies collaboratively with the interprofessional team
- Monitor and evaluate assessment processes, ensuring sensitivity to clients’ diverse needs
- Provide leadership, support, and education to team members to integrate behaviour therapy into care plans
- Complete documentation in accordance with Providence Care policies
- Identify resources to support data collection and advocate for necessary resources
- Manage data collection for behavioural assessments, profiling, and trending
