Applicants must hold a Manitoba Teaching Certificate in good standing, plus Special Education or Counsellor’s Certificate. A Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks are required for all employees.

Qualifications

• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate in good standing
• Special Education Certificate and/or Counsellor's Certificate
• Experience working with behaviourally/emotionally challenged students
• Ability to plan, teach and assess learning
• Effective classroom management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, student support teams and division leaders
• Experience in primary education programming
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention an asset
