POSITION SUMMARY

The position will ensure effective, ethical, and quality behavioral services are provided. Services include assessment, implementation, and evaluation of interventions for individuals with developmental / intellectual disabilities (IDD) experiencing emotional, behavioral, or medical difficulties beyond their caregiver’s abilities. The incumbent must hold a post-graduate degree relevant to social services and be registered with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. and/or the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Extensive experience in developmental / intellectual disabilities is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree relevant to social services and membership in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. and/or the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a BCBA.
  • Extensive experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.
  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, or social services.
  • Experience conducting psychosocial, behavioral, or healthcare assessments on individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information tactfully and diplomatically.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Experience in planning and delivering presentations and training programs.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications and record keeping.
  • Understanding of client rights, client’s ability to direct care, and confidentiality.
  • Valid Driver’s License (minimum G2) and access to a reliable vehicle for travel throughout Southwestern Ontario.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in this field.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check for vulnerable persons sector.
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and service excellence.
