Overview
The Behavioral Analyst is responsible for the administration and clinical oversight of the behavior treatment programs for an assigned unit or units in the Hampstead Hospital Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF). The role oversees and provides guidance to unit staff, administrative supervisors, and educational staff regarding clinical/behavioral programming. This position also evaluates clinical programs, provides training to direct care staff, and ensures the development and implementation of effective programs and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and participates in process improvement initiatives to develop and implement successful behavioral treatment programs that align with the Hospital’s values and expectations. Ensures the quality and appropriateness of documentation to meet Joint Commission, State Licensing, and Medicare standards.
- Develops short-term and long-term strategies and key initiatives to promote excellence in behavioral health programming, including oversight of target behavior assessments using interviews, case histories, observational techniques, and other assessment methods.
- Tracks data to document the frequency, rate, and duration of behaviors, reviewing and evaluating this data to make recommendations for departmental and hospital-wide recognition programs. Analyzes metrics, feedback, and data to monitor documentation quality, review duration and frequency, assess the efficacy of programming, and adjust plans as necessary. Prepares reports for units and hospital administration.
- Provides clinical oversight of all behavioral and educational programming, developing and delivering evidence-based interventions and ensuring comprehensive behavior assessments.
- Audits therapeutic programming from admission to discharge, providing training and supervision to direct care staff implementing behavior support plans, and monitoring all assigned cases. Develops and delivers in-service training on behavioral science and treatment for HHRTF staff.
- Ensures adherence to ethical standards set by the BACB and maintains all required ABA certifications.
- Provides consultation to students, parents, advocates, faculty, staff, and agencies to meet clients’ goals and objectives; assists in developing programs to address clients’ diagnostic and rehabilitative needs.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field, preferably in a management role involving program administration, planning, evaluation, or business management.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- BLS Certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- CPI Certification (required within 3 months of hire)
