Job description

Our FULL TIME Behavior Technician role provides CLINIC and HOME BASED therapy sessions to clients exhibiting severe behaviors (clients also receive ABA services in community settings as appropriate).

Responsibilities
What we are looking for:
  • Individuals passionate about providing therapy services.
  • Experience working with people with special needs and an interest in behavioral health.
  • Proof of immunization records and TB; must be fully vaccinated against Covid, including a booster if eligible.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  • The role involves lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials for home visits, as well as frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to observe, assess, and interact with participants.
Work hours:

Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts available. Both part-time and full-time options.

Specific duties:
  • Supporting participants diagnosed with autism and severe challenging behaviors, including aggression, property destruction, self-injury, feeding issues, among others.
  • Providing services at a 2:1 staff-to-participant ratio in clinics, homes, and communities. Most services start at the Center and extend to home or community settings.
  • Collecting data through direct observation to inform individualized interventions.
  • Assisting BCBAs with behavior assessments and skill acquisition plans, including functional analyses and preference assessments.
  • Teaching socially appropriate behaviors as per treatment plans, maintaining high treatment integrity.
  • Attending weekly team meetings (~45-60 mins) to provide data-driven input within a behavior analytic framework.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
  • BT 3: Master’s Degree or enrollment in a relevant Master’s program, plus 2 years of ABA therapy experience preferred.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
Experience:
  • At least two years of ABA experience with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or related disabilities preferred.
  • Experience with high-intensity challenging behaviors is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with challenging behaviors is a plus.
