Job summary

The University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member in Beef Cattle Research and Extension within the WCVM's Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences. The position emphasizes a 50% research, 25% teaching, 20% extension, and 5% administration.

The successful candidate will develop an externally funded program in beef health, production, and disease with translational extension activities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of, and experience with, the North American beef cattle industry.
• Experience with beef cattle practice in North America.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an externally funded research program in beef cattle health, production, and disease.
• Contribute to teaching in DVM curriculum and graduate programs; perform routine department and college administration.
• Engage in extension activities and continuing education programs; participate in governance and service to academic and professional organizations.
