Location: Becker's Chalets, Jasper, AB

Job Details:

  • Pay: $18–$20 an hour
  • Job Type: Fixed term contract, Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time
  • Shift and Schedule: Overtime, Morning shift, Evening shift

Contract Duration: April 21, 2025 to October 17, 2025 approximately

Overview: Becker’s Gourmet Restaurant offers inspired gourmet meals in an elegant atmosphere with a view of Mount Kerkeslin and the Athabasca River. We provide staff accommodations, team building activities, competitive wages, and a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook full course meals and individual dishes with modifications as requested.
  2. Ensure smooth delivery of meals to dining guests, maintaining food quality and consistency.
  3. Maintain quality and speed of output.
  4. Prepare each item on menus according to recipes and instructions.
  5. Follow proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
  6. Communicate clearly with co-workers and leadership to ensure smooth food service operation.
  7. Adhere to cost control guidelines.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. 1-3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen is required.
  2. Previous experience in a high-volume fine dining kitchen is an asset.
  3. Able to adapt to early morning shift start times.
  4. Ability to multi-task and work effectively both as a team member and independently.
  5. Work well under pressure and in challenging situations.
  6. Maintain high standards of productivity and efficiency in the kitchen.
  7. Punctuality is essential.
  8. Physical requirements include standing, walking, using stairs, lifting a maximum of 50 lbs, and withstanding hot temperatures.
