Becker's Chalets Jasper AB Laundry Attendant

Location: Jasper, AB

Pay: $16.50–$18.50 an hour

Job Type: Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract Dates: Start April 9th, 2025 and finish October 26th, 2025 approximately

About Us: Becker’s Chalets is a family-oriented seasonal resort, just 5km south of the hustle and bustle of the Jasper town site. Located along the Athabasca River, with mountainous views and lots of green space – it is a very quiet and relaxing location for both guests and employees alike. As a team, we all work together to ensure that our guests have a very clean, comfortable, and memorable stay. We have been recognized with numerous Employers of Choice awards and housekeeping awards and have achieved our level 3 in the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association’s Health and Safety Program.

Job Description:

  1. Possibly disinfecting and/or stripping chalets upon guest checkout.
  2. Sorting linen appropriately to be laundered; sheets, towels, etc.
  3. Loading washing machines and setting the appropriate formulas/wash cycles/programs.
  4. Transferring cleaned linen from the washer to the dryers.
  5. Ensuring that no machine stays empty when linen could be transferred.
  6. Properly and effectively spray the correct stain removal treatment on stained linen.
  7. Assisting with restocking the housekeeping shelves as supplies become depleted.
  8. Ensuring the laundry room area remains clean and organized at all times.
  9. Maintaining inventory levels for all washers, spot treatment, and drying chemicals.
  10. Ensuring housekeepers have an abundance of linen available to them.
  11. Folding all types of linen quickly and efficiently.
  12. Sorting and storing all folded linen in a neat and organized manner.
  13. Assisting the housekeeping department for any task requested.

Qualifications:

  1. No experience required, but it is an asset.
  2. Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel and bend.
  3. Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs.), push and pull required items.
  4. A driver's license is required to drive our golf carts.

Working Conditions:
