Reporting to the Team Lead, the primary role of the Transitional Services Recovery Navigator (TSRN) is to mentor and engage individuals in a process where screening and assessing for substance use disorders can be completed, followed by employing the essential skills of recovery coaching and the SACR Protocol to improve the likelihood of the inmate engaging in further services. The Transitional Services Recovery Navigator will also connect inmates to services and supports, including addiction treatment, mental health, education / training / employment supports, appropriate housing supports, income supports and other supports that enhance recovery capital and reduce criminal and medical recidivism.
