Job summary

Dentons Canada in Vancouver seeks a Manager, Profile & Client Development to drive growth, raise the firm's profile, and engage clients through strategic BD initiatives. You will plan and deliver high-quality client events and program offerings, collaborating with partners and practice leaders to support go-to-market strategies.

The role manages one direct report and requires a track record in professional services marketing, strong negotiation, and data-driven decision making to optimize ROI

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of marketing or business development experience, ideally in professional services.
• Proven ability to lead BD strategies and campaigns, translating strategy into actionable plans.
• Experience planning and delivering client-facing events, webinars, conferences, sponsorships, and other relationship-building programs.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills; able to manage complex initiatives and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholder groups; adaptable communicator.
• Excellent written and verbal skills; comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization.
• Strong business acumen; familiarity with professional services terminology is an asset.
• Innovative and data-driven mindset; able to identify opportunities and apply digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver strategic BD and profile-raising initiatives.
• Lead the planning and delivery of client-facing events and CPD programs.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and expand client engagements.
• Collaborate with lawyers and stakeholders; manage internal teams and vendor relationships.
• Monitor ROI and adjust initiatives, communicating strategies to various audiences.
