Sobeys is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily shift operations, coach staff, and ensure output targets while maintaining food safety and quality standards. You will partner with the Buyer/Planner to drive continuous improvement and effective scheduling, with a focus on cost control and efficient production workflows.

You will lead a diverse team, manage staffing plans, and maintain production records, ensuring excellent service to internal and external customers.

Competenze

• 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1–2 years’ experience in direct supervision in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills.
• Able to direct a diverse workforce.
• Excellent organizational skills with initiative and flexibility.
• Understanding of production planning, scheduling, purchasing and cost analysis.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Access).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of safety, quality, HACCP, BRC and GMP regulations.

• Communicate with team members and provide direction, assistance, and guidance regarding all department operations.

Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• 1-2 years’ experience in direct supervision in a manufacturing environment.

• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
• Through understanding of production planning, scheduling, and purchasing and cost analysis.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Critical thinking, analytical and detailed oriented preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing regulations regarding safety, quality, HACCP, BRC and GMP’s.
• Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
