Job summary

Living Sky School Division is seeking an Educational Assistant to join Battleford Central School. This temporary full-time role starts September 25, 2026, with a contract end date of June 30, 2027.

The EA will support students with intensive needs in personal care, academics, and behavior under teacher direction. The right candidate will be patient, empathetic, and collaborative, bringing strong communication and organizational skills to a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one year relevant childcare experience.
• Post-secondary certificate in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset.
• Ability to promote engagement and learning in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with intensive needs in personal care, life skills, academics, communication and behavioral support as directed by teachers.

Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioral support as required by students and directed by teachers.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
• Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
