Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you will:

• Encourage pets to participate in grooming activities and celebrate their progress
• Attend free, paid training through the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming to pursue a future as a Groomer
• Get familiar with grooming tools and equipment
• Learn to bathe and style dogs according to breed standards
• Receive a free tool kit worth over $600 upon hire and enrollment in the Paragon school, if aiming to become a Groomer

Engage with neighbors and their pets, providing excellent service with a positive attitude. Are you skilled with grooming tools? You are PAWsome!

Groom Tech responsibilities include:

• Providing grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
• Learning and demonstrating grooming skills through the online program
• Ensuring the safety and wellness of pets
• Building relationships with customers by understanding their pet's needs and recommending products
• Maintaining a clean and inviting grooming environment
• Completing safety training certification
• Assisting team members during grooming downtime

Ideal Groom Tech candidates will have:

• Experience working with pets (not required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to review videos and complete online tests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Pass a drug screening (where applicable), and a selection test; candidates must be at least 18 years old
