The Maintenance Services Department of the Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of BAS/Plumber (Chemical Treatment). Reporting to the Supervisor of Mechanical Systems, while working in a multi-disciplinary team this position provides emergency, preventive, and planned maintenance services to plant heating and cooling systems. This position focuses particularly on chemical treatment of all closed loop heating systems, chilled water systems and cooling towers and associated equipment throughout Simcoe County District School Board. Responsibilities include repairing of mechanical pipe leaks, pumps, and associated equipment for heating and cooling systems.

The duties, responsibilities, and requirements for this position are not limited to the above but may also include all of those in the Job Description for Plumber. This position will be required to be on-call and/or work after hours where required on a rotational basis to assist with operational needs. Compensation will be provided for on-call work in accordance with the CUPE collective agreement. SCDSB Training to be completed as required.
