Job description

As a BAS Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to join our Field Service team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our customers. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize field service operations, driving customer satisfaction and business growth. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.

You will report directly to our Sr. Field Service Supervisor based out of our Hamilton, Ontario location, and your work will require travelling to customer sites in Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, Guelph, Cambridge, and Owen Sound as required.

In this role, you will impact the success of our field service operations, customer satisfaction, and the growth of the organization. You will work with critical building management, HVAC, and security systems, with the opportunity to work on a range of commercial and government buildings, healthcare facilities, airports, and correctional facilities. You will help our customers use technology to improve productivity and increase the value of services provided to our many different customers.

The primary focus is to provide ongoing service support for Honeywell's Commercial Controls Building Automation HVAC systems.   • Niagara Certification.
  • Degree/diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintaining and commissioning building automation systems/HVAC controls, and energy management strategies.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with HVAC system operations including but not limited to chillers, boilers, VAV systems, multi-zone systems, rooftop units, and air handling units.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Enterprise Building Integration (EBI) system.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using basic Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid G driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites in Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, Guelph, Cambridge, and Owen Sound as required.

  • Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Emergency Support maintenance of customer's Honeywell Building Management System.
  • Troubleshoot and solve system and process-related problems.
  • Perform sensor verification and calibration.
  • Publish critical reports to customers including Monthly Performance, Results Reports, and Corrective Action Reports.
  • Actively interface with customers at all levels to ensure satisfaction through oral and written communication.
  • Provide 24/7 emergency on-call support to customers and technicians on a rotation schedule with other Honeywell Technicians.
  • Manage, coordinate, and deliver small projects with minimal supervision.
  • Work with the Service Manager to identify and prepare pricing for proposals to Honeywell customers.
  • Support Sales/Estimation Team in quoting new building automation system opportunities.
