About The Role

PowerCo is introducing digital solutions for Building Automation (BAS), energy management, physical security, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) for its facilities in Europe and Canada. These systems are central to PowerCo’s computer-based control systems that operate the battery production facilities safely and efficiently. The central digitalization team in Germany is responsible for identifying requirements, designing, configuring, and deploying these solutions across all PowerCo sites. In this role, you will work closely with the central team, representing the local needs of the St. Thomas site. You will play a key role in planning, leading deployment activities, and optimizing systems during operation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with BAS/BEMS and facility monitoring systems, and a deep understanding of their application in supporting enterprise strategies.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work structure, allowing employees to work remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the central digitalization team in requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and optimization of BAS, energy management, and facility monitoring solutions.
  • Collaborate with local and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Bridge global solution development with local needs, ensuring seamless rollout and support.
  • Lead planning and coordination during deployment with stakeholders.
  • Participate in solution testing, qualification, and validation phases.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers involved in relevant tasks and interfaces.
  • Share insights and lessons learned within PowerCo, especially from initial acceptance and testing.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Implement changes and troubleshoot issues post-deployment as needed.
  • Provide training and technical support to users.
  • Assist with data migration, system integration, and upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, data privacy, and security standards during rollout and operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to protect digital assets.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and local regulatory requirements related to data integrity and manufacturing.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience with BAS systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Tridium/Niagara) is a plus.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and energy management principles.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably large-scale.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and control diagrams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery tools.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and take ownership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset for continuous learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and results-oriented environments.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proactive decision-making ability.
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and technologies.

  • Paid vacation, with a holiday break from December 24 to December 31.
