Job summary

The Lake Joseph Club is seeking a passionate Bartender for The Water's Edge during the 2025 season. You'll play a key role in high-quality customer service while managing beverage preparation and assisting with banquet functions. Ideal candidates will be energetic and possess strong multitasking skills, alongside an excellent knowledge of drinks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of bartending experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers with table service in the restaurant.
• Prepare beverages according to provincial liquor laws.
• Maintain inventory of drinks and manage shift accounting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working in the food & beverage industry! As the Bartender at The Water's Edge, you will play a key role in front of house operations. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality customer service and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist servers in the restaurant and/or patio with table service to guests
• Help set up and tear down banquet functions
• Offer guests beverage options, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
• Prepare beverages following provincial liquor laws and resort standards
• Maintain inventory of beers, wines, and spirits
• Set up and dismantle bars for service and public areas
• Upsell products to guests
• Manage personal shift accounting procedures

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• At least 2 years of bartending experience
• Ability to work well under pressure and independently
• Self-motivated team player
• Smart Serve certification required
• Extensive knowledge of beers, wines, spirits, and specialty drinks
• Ability to handle high-demand situations
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Availability to work into the fall

This is a seasonal role from June 2025 - October 2025.
