Your days will include :

  • Managing overall barn and yard site
  • Managing staff, delegating duties and performing coaching plans
  • Order feed and carrying out feeding program
  • Select, sort and load pigs for transport
  • Prepping rooms for barn wash and for animal entry
  • Receive pigs
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks
  • Perform general on farm duties
  • Recognize and treat livestock health issues
  • Maintain livestock performance records
  • Carry out feeding and vaccination programs
  • Other duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you must possess :

  • Valid Class 5 Driver License
  • Self-motivated
  • Well organized and reliable
  • Good work ethic
  • Work well with others
  • Minimum 2-year swine tech experience an asset
